Our doctors are independent.

Assessments at VIRO are reviewed by independent Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs) — doctors enrolled with the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council. They — not VIRO — decide whether treatment is clinically appropriate.

What that means in practice

  • Every doctor on the VIRO panel holds a verified NMC / State Council registration number.
  • Doctors are engaged as independent consultants, not as VIRO employees, in line with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020.
  • The doctor — and only the doctor — decides whether to prescribe, request more information, ask for a video consultation, or refer you for in-person care.
  • The doctor's prescription, registration number, and notes are part of the medical record we securely archive.

What VIRO does, and does not

VIRO operates the platform, the assessment flow, the payment experience, and coordinates discreet delivery with a licensed pharmacy partner. VIRO does not diagnose you, does not prescribe independently, and does not replace a doctor. Medical responsibility rests with the prescribing RMP; dispensing responsibility rests with the licensed pharmacy.
